Saunas and Stories and Drag Shows, Oh Yay!

Upcoming events:

There’s a peace and serenity to this time of year, like we’re all holding our collective breath watching the snow slowly melt in order to fully embrace the upcoming spring and summer seasons. It’s in this interim where we simply wait, with a certain mindfulness, of what’s to come and what we’ve survived.
Of course, it’s still early March, so we’ll likely get a couple more heavy, wet snowfalls, but whatever. Fake spring thaw still has the same effect on us. We just have to allow ourselves our peace.
It’s been so relaxing that I nearly forgot about the fact that we have both Ditty Wish Ventures to do a GAME SHOW and our Mobile Sauna Residency today, Thursday, March 13! Wild how things have a way of sneaking up! Sauna will be here from 4 to 7 p.m., and you can register here or just walk up, provided you have adequate footwear and a bathing suit and there’s room (so yeah, best to register in advance). As for the GAME SHOW, we’re doing Jeopardy! this month! It’s one of the most successful game shows of all time, so why not give it a go? Come watch and be amazed at the intellectual prowess of the contestants, or laugh because you know the answer and they don’t, allowing you to have a moment of superiority and a little bit of what the Germans call schadenfreude. Plus you can do it all with a beer in hand after a sauna. Game starts today at 6 p.m.
We’ll kick back and relax on Friday. Nothing is happening, unless you consider just coming to the brewery to have Nathan serve you a beer to be noteworthy. Whether or not you consider it worth writing home about, it’s not a bad way to spend an afternoon.
And you’ll need that energy since it’s the return of Radiance on Saturday! Our quarterly drag show extravaganza is back with the changing of the season with their latest show, War on the Runway, featuring the talents of Spectrum, Dixie Diamond, Anne Noying, Pistachio Creampie, ThatQueerIsa, and Hellen Heaven. $15 at the door, show starts at 9 p.m., right after normal business hours! If it’s anything like the last couple shows, it just might be worth writing home about.

But then we relax again on Sunday. Tis the day of rest, after all. And what better way to kick back than with some cool stories? Good thing it’s Storyteller Sunday again, this time with the theme of “history” for all you history buffs out there. Who knows what kind of history people are going to talk about, but a Storyteller Sunday has yet to disappoint when it comes to the different themes each month. I’m crossing my fingers that we get a war story or two; would be nice to hear something like that from someplace other than the History Channel for once.
Then, more peace and serenity… with any luck, at least.
